For 2023, there are a number of interior design styles that are predicted to be popular:  Biophilic Design, Maximalism, Minimalism, Natural Materials, Home-Indoor-Garden, Multi-Functional Spaces and Vintage Decor.  We’ve selected our top 4: Biophillic Design, Maximalism, Minimalism and Vintage.

Paint company Pantone has chosen Viva Magenta as their colour of the year. Viva Magenta is a bold pink shade that is described as brave and fearless. The colour is part of the red color family, the shade is rooted in nature and expressive of a new signal of strength.  Viva Magenta is meant as a bold statement colour in your home. Other paint colours in the 2023 palette are Raspberry Blush (Benjamin Moore),  Alizarin (Graham & Brown), Wild Wonder (Dulux) Conch Shell (Benjamin Moore) and Beverley (Farrow & Ball).

One of the biggest trends that is set to take over in 2023 is Biophilic Design. This trend focuses on incorporating nature into our homes and workplaces. Think about adding plants, using natural materials like wood and stone, and bringing in elements of water and light. Biophilic design has been shown to boost our moods, increase productivity, and reduce stress levels. So, if you’re looking for a way to create a calmer and more inviting space, this trend is definitely worth considering.

Another popular trend that is predicted to take off in 2023 is Maximalism. This trend is all about embracing bold colours, patterns, and textures. It’s the perfect way to make a statement and create a space that is truly unique. If you’re not afraid of making a bold statement, then Maximalism, paired with the bold colour palette of 2023, is definitely the trend for you.

Do you have a small space? Then you’ll be happy to hear that 2023 is all about embracing cosy Minimalism. This trend is focused on creating a warm and inviting space, without sacrificing style. Think about incorporating items that are both functional and stylish.  Compact and visually appealing upholstered furniture such as two-seater sofas or armchairs is a trend. By keeping your space uncluttered and minimal, you can create an inviting oasis.

If you’re looking for a way to add personality to your home, then you’ll want to consider incorporating vintage pieces. Vintage furniture and décor is unique, stylish, and full of character. Whether you add a piece of antique furniture, or choose heritage tiles for your bathroom, vintage decor is the perfect way to add a touch of elegance to any space.

In addition to these top 4 trends, we also love the Indoor-Garden.  Plants and greenery in your home not only look great but they also have many benefits. They can help to purify the air, boost your mood, and reduce stress levels. Consider incorporating plants into your décor for the new year to start reaping the rewards of the extra benefits. Plants also go fantastically with almost any style so they’re an easy addition to include.
